The Wrap Around Support Program (WRAP) is provides holistic support for newcomers who are receiving social assistance or Ontario Works. It provides vital services that is client-centred and solution focused, taking into account the many barriers faced by newcomer families, isolated individuals and those who are most impacted by the Covid-19 crisis.
Who is Eligible?
- Newcomers who have been who is currently receiving Ontario Works (OW); AND
- Newcomers living in Canada for less than 5 years; AND
- Priority will be given to families
What we offer:
- Additional $250/month financial aid support from OW
- One time $275 equipment support;
- Monthly internet fees;
- Food essentials and care packages curbside pick up;
- Virtual Information sessions
- Connection to other resources to cope with Covid-19 crisis
