In response to IRCC's mandate to support the resettlment of Ukrainians on CUAT visa arriving as Temporary Residents in Canada, ACSA has quickly pivoted and open up its settlement services to these newcomers to access information about housing, income support, lanugage programs, employment, healthcare, mental health services, skills training, community connections, etc. To date, ACSA has served over 500 Ukrainians, connecting them to various community resources and guiding them in their settlement journey. ACSA hired Ukrainian-speaking Settlement Counselors to provide a culturally competent, trauma informed settlement support for the newly arrived Ukrainian newcomers.
