Nutrition Programs play a key role in building communities and addressing food security. Beyond reaching daily calorie and nutritient intakes, healthy diets must be supported by environments that allow for active and healthy lives. This includes active lifestyles, access to commuities, sanitation and informed preparation of foods. ACSA facilitates regular staff and peer-led cooking classes for parents and caregivers to get together, share cooking tips and learn new techniques. By taking the time to gather once a week, we empower each other to make educated, health-conscious decisions and create support networks in our community. ACSA also provides educational reosurces and hosts pop up events throughout the year. For immediate resources or to get involved, contact our Food Security Team below.
