Contract part-time position (17.5 hours per week)

Contract Start date: August 10th; Contract End date: December 4th

Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator

Background

ACSA is a nonprofit, multi service agency addressing needs and empowering children, youth, newcomers, homeless, and otherwise underserved communities.  Our core programs include housing and outreach programs, food security programs, newcomer services, youth outreach and therapy programs, child and family programs, early years’ programs, computer access programs, and community engagement.

 

Summary of Job Functions

ACSA is seeking a motivated, knowledgeable social media savvy individual to further develop our social media presence, and support in the development of outreach materials and resources.

 

Duties include:

  • Manage and update information on all media sites (facebook, twitter, Instagram)
  • Coordinate and administer the organization website
  • Develop relevant content for target populations
  • Create surveys and social media pages
  • Create data analysis and reports
  • Travel off site to events and workshops
  • Adhere to content specific material
  • Respond to inquiries
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in working on various social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram)
  • Experience in website development
  • Strong communication and soft skills
  • Ability to engage users on social media sites 
  • Innovative, creative responsible thinker
  • Self-starter takes initiative  
  • Responsibility and time management skills
  • Innovative, creative responsible thinker
  • Reliable and flexible with scheduling
  • Up to date on social trends and tools
  • Photography and videography experience an asset
