Program Coordinator - Recreation
Position Type: Contract 8 weeks, 35 hours a week

Pay rate: $15.00/hour
Contract period: July 4th to August 26, 2022

Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) is a multi service not for profit agency located in Scarborough. We are currently looking for a Program Coordinator to develop and run recreation and other community programs over the summer for the Dorset Park Community Hub location. The applicant must currently be enrolled full time in school and are returning to school in September 2022. Start date for the position is July 4th, 2022, and end date would be August 26th, 2022
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, evaluate, and provide quality programming for residents in the Dorset Park area. Programming will include a spectrum of programs from healthy eating and active living to learning new skills etc;
- Support community engagement and Hub events and Hub Reception
- Facilitate access to programs, initiatives and workshop opportunities that will meet the needs of residents in the community.
- Collaborate with various service providers to provide programming opportunities for the community.
- Meaningfully engage residents in all aspects of program development including implementation, and evaluation.
- Develop outreach materials and strategies for the program and conduct outreach for the program.
- Regularly attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Experience in community engagement; knowledge of current community issues
- Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Results oriented and highly motivated person.
- Demonstrated experience working with residents from various cultural, ethnic, social-economic, and developmental backgrounds in a community-based setting.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work both independently (self-directed), but also able to collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Superior organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and occasionally weekends.
- Computer literacy and practical skills around programs used for administration and design is required.
- Demonstrate outreach and engagement skills.
- Second Language is an asset.
