35 hrs/week, some evenings /weekends and on call

Background
ACSA is a non-profit, multi service agency addressing needs and empowering children, youth, newcomers, homeless, and otherwise underserved communities. Our core programs include housing and outreach programs, food security programs, newcomer services, youth outreach and therapy programs, child and family programs, early years’ programs, computer access programs, and community engagement.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program and Services, the Hub Coordinator will support partnership development and community engagement initiatives/current programs, as well as will oversee the day to day administration of the space. The position will also be responsive for scheduling and supervision of assigned Hub staff.

Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day support of Hub including ensuring coverage and dealing with crises, liaising with operations manager, etc.
- Supervise current and new programming staff at the Hub including reception, yoga, investing in neighbourhood staff and summer students. This list may vary depending on funding available.
- Plan, implement and evaluate partnership development within the Hub including:
o Facilitating of monthly Hub partner meetings.
o Planning and implementation of collaborative initiatives.
- Support resident engagement within the Hub including supporting residents to start their own projects, liaising with the Dorset Park Neighbourhood Association to ensure resident engagement is integrated with the Hub.
- Implement community based outreach, which includes community visits, donor tours, developing outreach materials and promoting Hub within community networks.
- Support resource development and partnership development to bring more services and programs into the Hub.
- Oversee and support the Dorset Park network table.
- Representing the Hub on appropriate community networks.

- Compile statistical reports and records and preparing reports as required by funders and planning and evaluation initiatives for the program.
- Participating as a team member on the delivery of other activities in the agency.
- Performs the responsibilities of the position within the legislative and regulatory standards set out in the applicable Acts. Performs the responsibilities of the position consistent with the policies of ACSA.
- Protects own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately. Follows all guidelines for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year experience in coordination/administration
- Minimum of three years working with communities in a community development capacity
- Experience working with communities that are dealing with issues related to violence, poverty, social isolation and exclusion
- Experience in conflict resolution and conflict management

- Experience working with diverse communities
- Demonstrated engagement skills with a variety of stakeholders including residents, service providers, etc.
- Strong organizational, and time management skills
- Strong Crisis Management Skills
- Experience working with partners
- Demonstrated group facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Fluency in a second language is an asset (Mandarin, Tamil)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Words, Excel, and Power Point
- Valid Police Records Check
