Social Media Marketing Administrator

Position Type: Contract 8 weeks, 35 hours a week

Pay rate: $14.00/hr

Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) is a multi service not-for-profit agency located in Scarborough.

We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable social media savvy person who is committed to Blackstone Foundation Library’s philosophy and vision to make Afrocentric learning and reading materials more accessible to marginalized communities across the GTA. 

The Social Media Marketing Administrator will create, curate and manage all public content specific images, video and written work.  Monitor, listen and respond to users in a responsible and “social” way.  Working with Blackstone Foundation Library’s Managing Director, Peer Leaders and stakeholders to update social media accounts.  The candidate will update website, social media handles, create surveys, media pages and supply monthly reports.   

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and update information on all media sites
  • Coordinate and administer the organization website
  • Develop relevant content for target population
  • Create an aesthetic for the instagram account posts
  • Post pictures based on theme curated for the account
  • Knowledgeable about sharing and insights of instagram posts
  • Ability to use hashtags and tag accounts
  • Communicate with stakeholders
  • Create surveys/ data analysis and reports
  • Travel off site to events and workshops
  • Maintain social media
  • Adhere to content specific material

  • Youth between 15-30 years old
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
  • Strong communication and soft skills
  • Ability to engage users on social media sites 
  • Ability to create and maintain an Instagram aesthetic

  • Up to date on social trends and tools
