Position Type: Contract 8 weeks, 35 hours a week

Positions to be filled: 4

Pay rate: $14.00/hour

Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) is a multiservice not for profit agency located in Scarborough. We are looking for a mature, energetic and knowledgeable individual to fill four (4) Youth Program Facilitator positions to facilitate the Newcomers’ Centre’s Summer Youth Program that runs from July-August 2019 at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic School in Scarborough.



Job Description

  • Plan, supervise, implement and evaluate youth-centered activities
  • Lead specialized activities in one or more of the following program areas:  sports, dance, arts & crafts, theatre, social skill building, educational activities, team building, games and/or creative challenges, technology related activities, etc.
  • Engage, facilitate and lead youth in indoor and outdoor activities including games and sports that are inclusive to all participants
  • Curriculum development and planning
  • Social media coordination
  • Complete administrative duties as directed
  • Ensure activities are kept supplied consistently and well organized
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of each program participant
  • Support and supervise youth participants and volunteers
  • Apply first aid when necessary



  • Youth between 18-30 years old
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, Convention refugee or Protected person
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Preferably College or University student
  • Must demonstrate involvement in developing and implementing youth programs
  • Public speaking and group facilitation skills an asset
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A positive attitude with creative and dynamic leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to speak another language is an asset
  • Current police reference check is mandatory
