COMMUNITY SERVICES | Working with Scarborough residents to build strong and healthy communities

Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) Statement on Anti-Black Racism and Oppression

ACSA Community Services stands with Black and Indigenous people of Toronto in the daily fights for equity that they face. We cannot stand neutral in a society that privileges colonialization and white supremacy in its structures, history and daily interactions.

ACSA Staff and Board Members commit to addressing systemic racism in our organization and in our community, and to provide resources, services, and supports to further equity for Black and Indigenous people. As a not for profit agency working, fighting, advocating for those most marginalized within our communities, we’re in a time where we need to work harder, more boldly and with more convection than ever to unlearn racism in ourselves, our communities, our society and the institutions that have power over us. We must renew our commitment that ACSA continues to be an inclusive organization that works to disrupt cycles of violence and stand with our community to build strong communities that reject racism and all forms of oppression.

I knew from day 1 that they [ACSA] really strives to make people's lives better. They helped me get back on track and better my life tremendously.
