Housing & Homeless Services

Connecting clients with their community to find resources and support systems.

The Housing and Homeless Program goal at ACSA is to outreach to the homeless in Scarborough and provide them with the supports necessary to access affordable and sustainable housing. ACSA recognizes that housing is not the only necessary component to leading a successful life.

ACSA continues to support our clients by providing a follow up worker for one year after they have been housed. Follow up workers ensure the client is managing the financial requirements of independent living and connect clients with their new community helping to find resources and support systems.

Clients often have limited funds and purchasing food can be difficult- we provide them access to our Hot Lunch programs and other drop in food service initiatives. Social isolation, skill and social development are also factors in the success of independent living- ACSA works diligently to provide the necessary supports so individuals can flourish, not struggle, when faced with difficulties.
