| Chester Le Community Corner
Chester Le is a high risk neighborhood that has a history of violent experiences as a result of community relationships breaking down and lack of resources. The Corner, through its programs, was able to gradually bridge the gap between members of the community- engaging people to come out and participate in building relationships within the community and eventually breaking the social isolation issue that is prevalent in the community.
Constricted by a limited amount of resources such as space and budget, strong relationships with service providers has brought programs to the location to respond to the needs of community members.
The Corner was able to mobilize community volunteers to participate and engage in active involvement in the programs to share their skills and contribute back in their own community. Overall, the Chester Le Community Corner has engaged community members, both living in the TCHC property and private houses through the creation of programs that respond to their needs utilizing the limited resources of the organization.
