| Action for Neighborhood Change - Dorset Park Community
Action for Neighborhood Change also exists in the Dorset Park Community. For these, community outreach workers, the goal is to deepen their connection with the residents and their understanding of the needs of the community. Six resident groups are currently operating in Dorset Park, engaging over 100 members of the community. These groups include:
- Conversational English
- Chinese Cultural Club
- Glamorgan Women Go Green
- Tamil Sewing Group, the Dorset Park Youth Council
- Dorset Park Crisis Response
- Dorset Park Community Connections.
In 2008, these groups organized community potluck's and trips, set up a neighborhood watch program, community cleans up and the youth have been heavily involved in getting a sports pad in the community and have been actively participating in advocating for various changes in the community.
Overall, the Dorset Park community is heavily invested in the safety and further development of their neighborhoods. For more information, please contact us.
